Folly Beach

Funky and local, sometimes just weird. But, as the saying goes, it's our weird. If you want to go, you need to go early, as traffic can get congested on two way roads in and out. Sullivans Island - Locals Choice

By far the most historical. Sullivans island was a bulwark of defense during the revolutionary war and the first shots of the civil war were fired from this island at Fort Moultrie. A locals secret, you can find a really cool jetty and beach spot at Fort Moultrie. The confederate army occupied the island and many of the houses were officers quarters long ago.
